Its History…

The steamboat “Montreux”, the last flagship of its fleet, was inaugurated in May 1904.

Furnished with modern equipments, the guests are enchanted with the comfort and the delectable ambience of the Salon Belle Epoque.

In 1962, somewhat fatigued, the “Montreux “ is renovated to stay at the forefront of the modern standards of that time. It then sails to the rhythm of its new diesel-electric engine until the end of the century.

Adorned with the title of oldest vessel in the CGN fleet, the “Montreux” regains its fine steam engine room in May 2001 and returns to its noble Belle Epoque elegance, to the delight of the passengers that are gracefully transported once again on Lake Geneva.
